Isopropyl Alcohol (also known as Isopropanol) is a non-potable alcohol, suitable for industrial cleaning and formulating where a water less environment is desired. It is primarily used in the printing industry as a component in fountain solutions.
Isopropyl alcohol is one of the most versatile solvents you can have around ideal for cleaning lenses, mirrors, glass, keyboards, computer screens and equipment. It has many of uses such as surface cleaning and prep, contact cleaning, head cleaning, cleaning of electronics and PCB materials, stain removal in the laundry etc.
It’s also a medical-grade surface disinfectant.

Isopropyl is a commonly used solvent and cleaning liquid. Also referred to as rubbing alcohol, this chemical solvent is found in many everyday products.
This high purity means it is great for cleaning by simply wiping it onto the surface and within seconds it evaporates off leaving no residue behind. You can use isopropyl alcohol 100% for a variety of applications such as cleaning, disinfecting, cleaning mirrors, stainless, using it for 3D printers, removing sticky residue, cleaning glass, as a hand sanitiser and much more. Isopropyl alcohol is also miscible in water therefore you can dilute it down to suit your needs.

When to use 100% Isopropyl Alcohol Straight (no dilution)
Use as a household cleaner – great for kitchens, bathrooms, and other surface areas (cleans sticky grime and residue)

When to dilute your 100% Isopropyl Alcohol
When using on granite, wood floors and upholstery (recommend 1/4 Isopropyl Alcohol, 3 drops dish detergent, 1 cup of water and a couple of essential oil)
When using as a Hand Sanitiser (recommend 3/4 cup Isopropyl Alcohol and 1/4 aloe vera gel)
As make up brush cleanser (allow to air dry)
IPA is great for cleaning the surface of nails and producing maximum nail shine (commonly used in the finishing steps of gel manicures to remove the sticky residue layer)

Percentage Differences in Isopropyl
Isopropyl Alcohol 100% is our most popular grade of Isopropyl. A grade of 90% – 100% offers a greater evaporation rate (dries faster) and is suitable for the majority of industrial users and cleaners. It is often used for disinfecting, window cleaning, stainless steel cleaning and to kill bacteria. The more basic percentage is 70% which is a lower grade that is less harsh when applied to the skin.
Most of our seller provide standard 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Please note, seller may decide to change or update policy depends on the type of products anytime without prior noticed. If you have any question, please contact admin@cleaningrus.com.au with product details and we will confirm return policy with the our supplier.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at admin@cleaningrus.com.au. If your return is accepted, you will need to pay for the return postage. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues: Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items: Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges: The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds: We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
We can ship to virtually any address in Australia. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and if some chemical products cannot be shipped, our seller will reach out to you and discuss further and organise a refund if required.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping rate and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider and type of product, shipping rate and date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page. If any changes to actual rate, our seller will reach out before order fullfilled.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kilo.
